Might & Magic X (but it's not grid combats, and if you are fine with old game then perhaps instead Might & Magic III, but in my opinion MMX has better combats but less good on eerything else, beside graphics obviously). Whole Avernum series obviously, perhaps Avadon series too. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky It is very oriented as a complement to party building, as far I know no RPG did it, Kingmaker tried build the illusion of a parallel strategy game but a major complain of many players is the lack of benefit and links with the RPG play and party building. You can already give up on the resource management and city/fort building. Was wondering if any other players who enjoyed Queen's Wish had a "this is similar to" vibe. Years ago I played the original fallouts, Baulder's Gate, & Torment. I am definitely going to check out some of Spiderweb's other games, but in particular I enjoyed the: but this game scratched an old-school itch for me that I don't know how or if I can recreate.
